It was an unpleasant experience in the long run to try to motivate people to make healthy changes in their diet and lifestyle in this way. To be honest, it also turned out to be the least effective way to create long term sustainable mental and physical health.
My approach for inspiring people today is very different. I want to contribute to bringing people together and encourage each individual to tell me what their desires for health and diet are. From there with proper diagnosis techniques, we develop a way to help them achieve their goals, and adequately address any health concerns.
The holidays are a time of year for people to share in the love and warmth expressed in gatherings of family and friends while enjoying holiday traditions and good food. While the importance of good quality food is essential for our well-being, we can also simply enjoy each others company. One cookie, piece of cake or any holiday food is not going to be the deciding factor in your overall health, but being overly anxious about every bite of food might be.
